Hi.

What an amazing week this was. We went to Los Angeles to lead Kindred Spirit and were so well received and supported by all the participants doing such deep and meaningful work on their relationships. I left completely inspired. We also got to soak up the LOVE at Cafe Gratitude L.A. where everyone wants to be and is! What a beautiful expression of love in action the Cafe is. I felt so good just looking around the restaurant at all the BEAUTIFUL VIBRANT people there knowing that they were in a fun, exciting and loving place being served food that is healing and good for them! What a miracle that is. What an amazing combination of serving others is created there. Thank you all. If you haven't yet been to the Cafe on Larchmont, make plans to visit it soon, you will LOVE your experience, I promise! We also got to hear Jason Mraz record a song on his upcoming album and I was deeply moved and appreciative of who he is for all of us. Thank you Jason!

Fresh peaches are in the Cafes now, and soon we will be moving to fresh frozen this year, so have and I AM Peachy soon, they are the sweetest peaches ever!

Hi Everyone,So much to be grateful for.

Monday night the community gathered at the opening of our Santa Cruz Cafe Gratitude. What a beautiful location and wonderful addition to our Gratitude family. Our sons and friends from Los Angeles drove up and many of our community and management team came down from San Francisco for an inspiring gathering of what is possible when people empower one another and work together for the good of the whole. I am certainly reminded these days of the importance of holding our seats of UNCONDITIONAL LOVE no matter what!  I am grateful for the opportunity to expand my capacity to BE LOVE. I am so grateful for the Santa Cruz community that is showing up and so appreciative of our coming to their town. What an amazing collection of loving people are gathering there.

Matt, our eldest son, and the one who helped us open our original location is the General Manager of the Santa Cruz location and I couldn't help but sit and watch his incredible customer service skills yesterday. I am so proud of him and grateful for his commitment to his community there.

Hi

Just returned home after a weekend leading our Sacred Commerce workshop in Harbin to 85 folks! What a wonderful experience seeing all the people wo are gathering from around the globe to learn about a new way of doing business. Three of our Leadership Course graduates led sections of the workshop this weekend and all three were incredible! I can see our vision for developing future leaders coming into fruition. Thank you Erin, Yebuny, and Alexia.

Today is our only full day on the farm this week as we pick up our new delivery van tomorrow, for our Santa Cruz location set to open on August 15th!  Watch for opening announcement.

WE are finding lots of opportunities to shift our attention to being grateful recently. Some days I think our commitment to writing our next book on community building is bringing up a lot of resistance for us to work through. Whatever it is, gratitude is a wonderful pathway to centering us in the present moment, where we have much to be grateful for.

Yesterday one of our farm members totaled our car on his way home from a party. We are so grateful no one was hurt and although the loss was great it certainly could have been so much worse. Tomatoes and blackberries are abundant, corn plants have tassels, peaches are starting to change color, small chicks are on their own out in the field, leadership training is coming up soon.

Watch for dates for the next farm dinner and come see the beauty of farm life.

Head to one of our Cafes and taste the first of our amazing blackberries and apricots. The heat is here and so is the fruit! All the plants in the fields are G R O W I N G like crazy!

We have started to have our heavier meal at breakfast time as it is just TOO HOT to turn on the tortilla grill at 1pm for our midday meal. Our freezer just can't keep up with the demand for ice for cold drinks while working in the field. A sure sign of SUMMER.

Our Santa Cruz location is coming along with the transfer of the Beer and Wine license in process and the excitement building.  We are thrilled to be adding the location to our family and finally serving up the love near the coast. We are so grateful for the loyal following of Santa Cruz people over the years and happy to be bringing you your own Cafe Gratitude in August. Watch for the opening date and celebration!

Our cow Cacao, is due any day now. She just lays down in front of a big fan (yes, we cool down our cows in the summer heat) awaiting her time to give birth. She loves back and belly rubs not to mention her favorite head scratch, when she reaches out her neck and lays her head in my lap!
Love to everyone and thanks for being part of our Mission to serve up love along with some really great nutritious food!

Love. Terces

**Event Update: This Event is not being catered by Cafe Gratitude!  Sorry for the misinformation!**                             Hi there. Jon Marro here. I am a privileged member of the Cafe Gratitude community and the transformation of mind, body and soul it provides. I recently moved down with a bunch of the torch bearers to help open up the location(s) in Los Angeles, because I feel it is one of my life's callings to spread this food and philosophy all across the planet. I feel incredibly blessed to live in California. I feel it in many ways is on the leading edge of innovativeness, wellness and consciousness. The Bay Area, where the Cafes were birthed, I believe is an even crisper niche within the California niche, and The Cafe Gratitude Community is a treasure trove within those niches and a concentrated cluster of some of the most vibrant individuals I've found in my global wanderings. Let's call it for this blogs sake: The leading edge of leading edges. So within that, I feel it is my/our duty to offer and provide this wealth of knowledge, energy, and love to those who may not be in direct access to it's wellspring. How I am taking that on is by widening the circle. Bringing this feeling and the tools of this community to other communities in a giant global snowballing-effect experiment called (tentatively): Who wants to wake up once and FOR ALL and live in Oneness? The snowball's next stop is coming to Cabrillo College in Santa Cruz at an event called: Alive. In ConcertAlive. In Concert will feature a screening of the film: May I Be Frank, paired with a meal inspired by the food style of Cafe Gratitude. Then, once your body is fed, we will nourish your soul with the musical concert portion of the evening. You will join musicians of this movement such as Parker Ainsworth (our community's Bob Dylan), the musical majesty of Avasa & Matty Love, Seattle-based activists and troubadors holding the gratitude push-pin on the Northwest corner of the map: Luc and The Lovingtons and former gratitude employees and managers turned rock stars: The Makepeace Brothers. I promise you, with live food in your bellies and live music in your ears your lives will be transformed. Alive. In Concert gives spectators the experiential feeling of what's possible when you literally band together to live in concert and are devoted to uplifting and awakening together. Love is where it's at and Love would LOVE to see you there. Join us! For more information please visit: http://www.facebook.com/#!/Alive.Inconcert and spread the word!

Thank you!
